Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes

YOU WILL NEED

- baby gold potatoes - extra-virgin olive oil and/or butter - garlic powder - fine sea salt - paprika - ground pepper

STEP 1

Start by boiling the potatoes for 15 minutes, or until they are fork tender. 

Drain and place potatoes in a bowl.  Add oil/butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt/pepper. Stir potatoes with seasoning mix.

Place potatoes on a baking sheet to smash. Using the bottom of a cup, or potato masher,  press down on potatoes.

Using a spatula, carefully transfer smashed potatoes to your air fryer basket. Place in a single layer.

STEP 4

Air fry at 400 for 10-12 minutes, or until browned and crisp. 

STEP 5

Tips - use potatoes that are evenly sized - don't crowd the air fryer basket - let potatoes cool before smashing 

Top with: - sliced green onions - sea salt - bacon, chives, sour cream - shredded cheese - fresh chives or parsley
