Best Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

This is the best slow cooker pulled pork recipe! It takes just minutes to prep and becomes tender, juicy, melt in your mouth pork.  A delicious crowd pleaser and perfect for an easy weeknight meal.

-pork butt or pork shoulder -yellow onion -coconut sugar or brown sugar -paprika -fine sea salt -garlic powder -ground pepper -dry mustard -ground cumin

INGREDIENTS

STEP 1

Place pork butt and chopped onion in crock pot. Mix together seasoning and rub on each side of the pork. 

STEP 2

Slow cook on low for 8 hours or high for 5 hours. Pork is done when it can easily be shredded with two forks.  

STEP 3

Remove pork from slow cooker and place on a cutting board. Using two forks, shred pork and place back in slow cooker.   

- Trim off any loose fat from the pork before placing in slow cooker. - Reserve some of the liquid from the pork after it cooks and mix in with pulled pork to keep moist.
