Pesto without Pine Nuts

- Kale and fresh basil  - extra-virgin olive oil - fresh garlic -salt  - walnuts 


Add kale, basil, salt, garlic, and walnuts to a food processor. 


Pulse/blend until ingredients start to form a paste (30-45 seconds). Next, add the extra-virgin olive oil. 

Step 2

Pulse a few additional times after you've added the olive oil. If pesto is too thick, add additional olive oil to reach desired consistency. 


notes and tips

- feel free to add 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese - use all basil if you don't want the kale  - swap the walnuts for almonds if you'd like
