How to Roast Cashews

Roasting cashews adds a slight crunch and brings out their natural nutty flavor. They are great for snacking on or adding to salads and side dishes.  Follow these easy steps for roasting in the oven, on the stovetop, or in the microwave.

Spread cashews in a single layer on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake at 350-degrees F for 10-12 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.

Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Add cashews and cook for 4-6 minutes, stirring frequently.

Place on a microwave safe plate and microwave for 1 minute. Stir and continue microwaving in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until browned.

Regardless of which method you choose to roast your cashews, they are done when lightly browned and fragrant. Do not overcook.
