Crispy Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes

You don't want to miss these smashed potatoes in the air fryer!  They are crispy, garlicky, and so addicting! They are like a fancy version of a French fry, but so much better for you!

INGREDIENTS

- baby gold potatoes - extra-virgin olive oil - garlic powder - fine sea salt - paprika - ground pepper

STEP 1

In a medium sized pot, boil the potatoes until a fork can easily be pierced through them.  

Drain potatoes and place them in a bowl. Add extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt/pepper. Stir potatoes with seasoning mix.

Place potatoes on a baking sheet to smash. Using the bottom of a cup, smash down until about 1/4" thickness.

Using a spatula, carefully transfer smashed potatoes to your air fryer basket. Place in a single layer.

STEP 4

Air fry at 400 for 10-12 minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached.  Tip: Flip potatoes half-way though. 

STEP 5

Crispy, golden-brown air fryer smashed potatoes!  These make a delicious side dish or a fun and tasty appetizer.

Feel free to add some red pepper flakes or chili powder for a little spice. Also great with some melted butter on top.
